It has been so crazy around here with Valentine's Day coming up. The floral industry is just crazy during this time of year. It makes one want to pull all their hair out and run around in circles screaming.
It is also that time of year when I tend to get the blues. My aunt broke her hip last week so I have been juggling my schedule to go see her, juggle J's schedule and try to get everything done (which I am not). I think I am just emotionally shot. My aunt did get out of the hospital and back into her care home so I went to visit her there. I found out that her laundry is coming up missing and they are basically ruining her clothes so I volunteered to pick up her laundry once a week and wash it myself. I know it is one more thing on my plate, but I really think that it is the best thing. I bought her a couple of new outfits and the thought of them getting lost or ruined in the mass laundry just isn't acceptable to me.
On a positive note, DH was so thoughtful to me this past week and found my big jewelry box from storage and my little one up in the attic and has arranged all my jewelry. I forgot I had so much and had missed so many pieces. I have become addicted to watching Gems TV and QVC, so I have picked up a couple of more pieces of jewelry and I know I am getting another piece for V-day so it was SO SO nice to have my jewelry box case all cleaned up and put up in my room. I just keep opening and shutting all the drawers and admiring all the hard work he did. I am so glad to have all my jewelry organized where I can get to it and wear it. Putting on some bling does tend to make one feel a bit better.
It has been raining here, which is good because we really need it. Our colder weather seems to have passed and moved onto the mid-west region. It was too darn cold for me there for awhile.
J is playing basketball and I signed him up for T-ball which starts in April. He has had many play dates and a sleepover and is doing so well in school. I was elected to the School Site Council a couple of months ago so I have added one more school activity to my plate. I am also slated to begin my medical transcription training in June (yes, I still want to do that too)!
Anyway, I know I haven't blogged for a long time and I need to update my books and my sidebars, but I wanted everyone to know I was still alive and kicking. Well, maybe not kicking, but still alive!
