Someone Send Some Warmth!

It is so cold here today and has been for the last couple of days.  The sun is out, but it is SO cold!  There were a bunch of shivering little students waiting for the teacher to open the door when I took J to school.

I have my volunteer duty at the school this morning and then it's more wreaths for me.  I deliver the batch for J's school tomorrow, so I have to go down and decorate them, but I think I am going to wait until it is warmer!

Okay, off to make some java!

Moving Discussion

We went up and saw my inlaws for Thanksgiving.  During dinner, my mother-in-law mentioned that mutual friends of ours were thinking of moving to the Las Vegas area.  We got into this discussion about the California real estate market vs. Las Vegas real estate market.  My father-in-law said that before they moved to Oregon, they considered Arizona and the Scottsdale Real Estate market.  Since my mother-in-law has some health issues, she felt more comfortable closer to the coast and to a cooler climate.  I do like looking at different homes and property in other areas outside of my own.  It is nice to just think outside the "box" and think about living somewhere else. I know that right now we are pretty planted here, but you never know what the future may bring.

Frustrating Day

This has just been the most frustrating day.  It seems like every little thing has just gone wrong.  My brain has been on auto pilot and I have been missing my freeway exits and then having to take the next one and backtrack.  I did it like three times today!  Drove me crazy.

I am now officially a member of the Site Council meeting at my son's school.  I am actually looking forward to it.  It seems like a really good group and I feel like my participation might mean a little something.  Everyone is so welcoming and nice.  I like getting more and more involved with the school.

Tomorrow is volunteer day for me and then I have to do some little errands before taking Justin to karate and then I run off to choir practice.  We have performances this weekend and are practicing a few times this week.  I am nervous, but excited.  I think it is going to be fun.

I feel a little wiped out so I am going to go grab a Coke for the caffeine fix!

This guy who posted on PayPerPost made this video demonstrating his ability as an impressionist.  It is a total crack up!  I have no idea how anyone can twist their face up like this. LOL  I mean I can't lift one eye and have the other do something totally different like this guy.  I wonder how much practice it takes to be able to contort your facial muscles like that.  He reminds me a little bit of how Jim Carrey twists his face all about and just makes you laugh out loud every time you see him.  I have watched this video a few times and he cracks me up each time.  You have to check this out.  Go Antonio, go!

Brrrrr.....

It is freezing in our house because there is something wrong with the furnace.  The furnace guy is coming out tomorrow.  In the meantime, we have these little heaters scattered all over the house.  I am bundled up on the bed with two cats laying on me.  It actually feels good to have some cat body heat.  LOL

Today, I have to go to an appointment at 11:30 and then into Eureka to pick up Fed Ex packages.  Then, I have to help unload freight.  Uggg...what a pain.  Oh, and I have rehearsal tonight for choir.  I feel like I need a big ole nap, but I think it is just because I have all these blankets around me and am trying to get warm.

Ahhh... a cup of coffee.  That will warm me up!  Off to the java machine!

PayPerPost

You may have noticed that I have talked a little bit about PayPerPost in my blog recently.  I first noticed the reference to it over at Tricia's blog and I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical.  It just seemed to good to be true.  Then, I noticed that Cindy was also doing it, so I thought I was missing out on something pretty cool.  I was SO right.  I started taking PayPerPost opportunities on November 18 and so far I have over $100 that will be paid to me very soon!!  I can't believe how easy and how much fun it is.  I am planning to spend that money on Christmas shopping or maybe something cool for myself that I have been putting off (like new software or clothes or something girlie)!  My husband couldn't believe that I made that much money in such a short amount of time.  I am so happy that I found PayPerPost and I can't wait to make more money! 

Back from our mini "vacation"

Well, we got back from visiting the inlaws this afternoon.  It was a long drive back and it rained the entire time.  Heck, it rained the entire time we were there!

We did have a nice visit and J had a great time.  He was spoiled by his grandparents and he absolutely loved it.  It was nice to get away for a bit and just relax and not have to worry about business calls or orders or making wreaths.  Now, it's time to put on roller skates for next week.  I wish that this was a short week or that we had another vacation coming up soon.  I know Christmas will be here before you know it, but it seems so far away.

Speaking of Christmas, I did do a little bit of Christmas shopping while we were up there.  Not much, but at least it is a start.  J got two Toys R Us gift cards from the inlaws about a year ago and we need to go to TRU to spend them, but the closest one is 4 hours away.  Hopefully, we can go in December sometime.

J's birthday party will be on the 9th so I need to start thinking about that.  I already have the place booked, but I need to do invitations and all that stuff.  Not much time!

Okay, off to finish going through my email.  It got backed up while I was gone.

In my Jams

I am in my jammies already.  It is only 5:30 p.m. LOL  I got so wet today moving wreaths around and got SO cold.  I came home and took a long hot shower and got into my jammies and these thick socks of my hubby's.  I need to figure out what to make for dinner, but I am feeling too lazy.  I also need to pack our bags for our trip tomorrow.  I think I am probably just going to wait and throw stuff together in the morning.  I just want to relax, feel warm and just do nothing.  I am so glad I don't have to cook this year for Thanksgiving.  I've got two kitties snuggled up next to me so I have kitty warmth.  LOL  Now, I just need a Johnny Depp to bring me a cup of hot cocoa and the dream would be perfect.  ;)
